Privacy policy

Uniper attaches great importance to the protection of personal data and is committed to protecting the data of people who visit our websites. Uniper SE, Holzstraße 6, 40221 Düsseldorf, Germany, processes personal data collected during visits to our website in accordance with the laws on data protection and data security of the Federal Republic of Germany and is the data controller  in this respect. This privacy policy tells you how Uniper handles information that is collected during your visit to the Uniper website of greenwilhelmshaven.de.

1. Collection and processing of personal data

Personal data is all information about your identity, such as your name, your e-mail address or your postal address. Unless you have agreed otherwise with Uniper, Uniper only collects simple personal data that is necessary for our business relationship, such as your name, job title, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other contact details. 2. Use and disclosure of personal data

Uniper will use your personal data to respond to your inquiry, process your order or provide you access to special information or offers you have requested from us. For example, if you fill out an online contact form, Uniper will use this information to contact you regarding your interest in the Services. In this respect, the legal basis for the processing arises from Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Uniper may also use personal data of its customers and data of participants for marketing purposes, if necessary, insofar as they have expressly consented to this in accordance with Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR. In this case, Uniper will use the information you provide to contact you to discuss your interest in the Services and to send you information about the company, its subsidiaries and affiliates, such as promotions or events. For this purpose it may also be necessary for Uniper to pass on your data to group companies or external service providers within the scope of commissioned data processing. For example, Uniper may need to share customer information for customer relationship management purposes.

If you have agreed to the processing of your personal data, you can revoke this agreement at any time with effect for the future. Revocation of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent.

Uniper will not sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties or pass it on for their advertising purposes. Insofar as you have expressly consented to this in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR, Uniper shall pass on your data to its subsidiaries and partner companies so that they can contact you directly. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing until revocation.

Uniper will only process your data within the European Union. Data transfers to third countries arise only in the context of the administration of IT systems in accordance with the rules on commissioned processing and only to the extent that a) the transfer is in principle permissible and b) the specific conditions for a transfer to a third country are met, in particular the data importer guarantees an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the EU standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to processors in the context of commissioned processing in third countries.

3. Duration of storage

Uniper will only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to provide the services or information you have requested and for the duration of our business relationship. In addition, we only store your data to the extent necessary to comply with statutory retention obligations or for the duration of legal disputes in order to protect our legitimate interests. We will delete your data immediately if they are no longer needed for the purposes mentioned.

4. Automatically collected information

When you access the Uniper website, general information is collected automatically (i.e. not through registration). The following data is saved automatically:

  • the abbreviated and thus anonymized IP address. The reduction rules out any possibility of reference to a person.
  • the website you last visited (referrer).
  • the web pages you have visited in the Uniper offer.
  • the names of the retrieved files.
  • the date and time of the retrieval.
  • the operating system and browser version of your PC.

Plausible

Our website does not use tracking or analytics cookies. We use Plausible which is a privacy focused tool for website measurement and analytics. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent identifiers. No tracking between sites or devices and no personal data is collected. All data from Plausible analytics is processed on servers within the EU and hosted by Comprend AB.

6. Security

Uniper takes precautions to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, falsification, manipulation and unauthorized access. The legal data protection regulations of the Federal Republic of Germany are naturally observed.

7. Your rights

You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about your personal data stored by us, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to correct, block or delete and transfer this data.

FURTHERMORE, YOU MAY OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION, IF THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6 (1).LIT. E) OR LIT. F)GDPR TAKES PLACE.

If you have agreed to the processing of your personal data, you can revoke this agreement at any time with effect for the future. Revocation of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent.

You can request a copy of the data we have stored about you. Uniper reserves the right to charge you a small fee for this if you exercise this right disproportionately often. If you wish to transfer your data to another responsible party, Uniper will provide you with the data you transferred to Uniper in a machine-readable format free of charge.

In order to exercise your above mentioned rights, please send us, Uniper SE as the responsible body, a description of the data concerned and indicate your name, customer number and your birthday. Uniper may require you to provide further proof of your identity to protect your personal information from unauthorized access.
